Luisa joined Rocket Internet in Oktober 2014 and is a founding member of RCKT. She is a woman of awesome tastes: she loves candy, calinka and cats. Sometimes the three things go together. She lives by two rules: „Do Less“ and the good old „ABC Principle: Always Be Cool“, courtesy of herself.

Here are the items that Luisa feels are absolutely essential for her workday. You might notice the look and feel of this post is quite similar to another to that of another RCKT founding member. That was absolutely her intention.

1) The Kimono

Every true hipster needs a kick-ass kimono, right? It’s more like a fashion statement than it is a means of transportation. Screw that. I’ve been kimonoing since I was 13 years old and the feeling of flying through the urban jungle in this baby never gets old.

2) Evil Queen just-in

Have you ever heard of the Evil Queen? If you’re answer is „No“, go check her out. She is by far the coolest person on Disney and a visual storyteller who really gets the mechanics of evil-swag. A couple months back, she made a video about a poisoned Apple (red one, of course). And since I’m a very loyal follower and fangirl, I just have to get my own evil-swag.

3) Winkekatze, Young Catlover of the Year

They say people never forget their first. Being awarded Young Catlover of the Year from the Cat Association a couple of weeks ago was definitely something I’ll never forget. I consider this award a #workplaceessential, not because I like having a golden statue sitting on my desk, but because it was a defining moment for me that assured me that I’m on the right track with my career.

4) Candy

I’ve always been a big fan of Apples – until I got my Haribo-lunchbag for work. Switching from my beloved Apples to Candy took me a day. It is yummy, superlight, and makes me feel like I can work from anywhere. Colors add the swag you need when working from a coffee shop in Berlin. I was hooked and immediately dumped my old apple bag for Candy. Life is not good in the Apple ecosystem.

5) Lipstick (The Red Strategy)

Agency people live and work in an ultra fast-paced environment, fueled by a constant stream of information coming in daily through every channel the digital world has to offer. With it comes the constant fear of looking like shit (FOLLS) – it’s our job to be on the forefront of the latest trends. This lipstick is an excellent reminder that sometimes, silence is red. Even for media people.
